FEBRUARY 2012
February is here and in the first two weeks our window
display has ideas for gifts for Valentine’s Day. We have
selected Victorian cranberry glasses in matched pairs, romantic
books, old and new jewellery, and interesting and useful
items on a ‘hearts, flowers and cupids’ theme. There is
a small collection of old Valentine’s cards for you to enjoy
and original greetings cards which are the work of local
artists. With so much to choose from you are sure to find
something lovely for your beloved. Once February 14th has
passed we will be showcasing the work of our contemporary
textile artists. You can look forward to a colourful and
eye-catching display of decorative and wearable work from
Jane Donnelly, Amanda Hislop, Tania Norman and Mary Toon
which includes stitchwork, felting, tie dying, silk painting,
knitting and more.
